This session idea has been swirling around in my head for awhile now. I am always drawn to images of ballerinas, especially when they are in their pancake tutus and on pointe. Enters McKenna. She is an incredible dancer and I knew this session idea would be perfect for her!
We met at this incredible location, which I have tried to take advantage of since it is on the market. A HUGE storm was brewing and it was so dark at 5:30pm, but we pushed through it. I am so glad we did. I edited this session a bit more “moody” than normal, but I felt the venue and the storm leant itself to that type of portrait.
Enjoy!
And since you might be able to notice my obsession with pointe shoes ~ you can also see one of my favorites here.

I have had my eye on this location for ages! I knew I needed an adventurous crew to join me there, and that is where the Guess family came in! She was up for the “secret” location and so it was set! The clouds came blowing in quickly and it was nearly dark by 6pm, but we did it! Doesn’t she have the sweetest looking family? And those suspenders and her little guy! There were too many to choose from so sorry for the overload! Check out the rest of the session below!
NOTE: If you are interested in having a family session here, please contact me and we need to book it in the coming weeks…because it is selling it!

I have had the privilege of photographing Sibley for several years now. I love how each time I see her, she has grown into more of a young lady and is coming into her own. She is beautiful with her red hair, green eyes, and freckles. Such a gorgeous combination.
I have talked about tween photography before, but here is a perfect session to show you what it is. We found this beautiful spot outside of Austin and ventured around it. I wanted to make Sibley feel beautiful and to know how pretty she is, when she looks at these portraits of herself.
Thirteen can be a hard age, but hopefully, I can help more know exactly how beautiful they are at this time in their lives. Click to see one of my favorite images of her here.
This was my 5th time photographing this family. And this session might be my favorite so far. We had a gorgeous day in Austin with the most beautiful light. The girls were precious and so much fun to photograph. You can see the real connections in their faces and the joy each parent has watching their girls grow up! So many favorites to choose from ~ so here is a big sneak peek :)
And you can see my favorite image from their session here.
If you have looked through my blog before, you probably recognize this family. This is one of my best friends and her family. We wrapped up Walker’s 1st year with a session here in Austin. The vibrant colors of this session put a smile on my face and look gorgeous when printed!
We also went a little “outside the box” and took the session into an elevator, in a parking garage, and finishing out on top of it! Love how these all turned out! Enjoy!
