This session might rank up as one of my favorites. When Mom contacted me, she mentioned she would love to have her session out at their family ranch a couple of hours away. I jumped at the chance to do a session out at their ranch! I had just gotten back from a conference where we talked all about “making connections” and not just “beautiful images.” I knew this was just the session for me. We made our way out to the ranch and I tagged along while we drove around in the gator, fed cows, got hay, and fed horses. I loved how each of these images turned out, and as I look back on them, I can vividly recall what was happening at the moment I captured that specific image. This sweet family has grown by one since the last time I photographed them. I love meeting the littlest man of the family and he was just so precious. His big siblings had grown up so much since I saw them and were so much fun to photograph.
Meet my husband! Walt. Last year he was in need of some new headshots. He didn’t want the normal, stand in front of a neutral backdrop, headshot. He wanted to go somewhere that reflected what he did for a living. That took us to the Texas State Capitol. We spent a couple of hours walking around photographing him inside the Capitol and in front of the Capitol. I love these not so conventional headshots.
This is one of my oldest and best friends. We have known each other since we were in elementary school. This past fall she asked me to photograph her family while we were both visiting our parents in College Station. Of course I jumped at the chance to photograph my friends! I love how these turned out. And the two different outfit choices they went with.
This little guy was the cutest. He had the most beautiful blue eyes and sweet smile. We ended this session down by the lake and were surprised to find actual fall leaves and gorgeous color. Check out their session!
